Car/Ferry

Of course, part of our province is an island; technically, you can't drive all the way to Corner Brook from mainland Canada. Ferry service is provided by Marine Atlantic between North Sydney, Nova Scotia and Port aux Basques, Newfoundland (215km from Corner Brook). The Marine Atlantic ferry service uses modern, large ferries with a capacity of over 350 vehicles and about 1200 passengers. The crossing takes approximately five hours and the departure times vary throughout the summer. Athletes and visitors that plan on taking the ferry to our event should book well in advance.

Approximate driving times to the North Sydney ferry terminal from:

Truro, Nova Scotia - 3.5 hours
Halifax, Nova Scotia - 4.5 hours
Nova Scotia/New Brunswick border - 4.5 hours
Quebec border - 10.5 hours
Montreal, Quebec - 14.5 hours
Ottawa, Ontario - 16.5 hours
